Let’s review our automobile/truck/ motorcycle insurance. This is not an ad, but maybe it should be. Let’s talk no-fault (unlimited medical). Our fatuous and dazed Legislature has done it again. Yes, these perplexing sages have endeavored to save us a few bucks at the risk of our financial failure. Recall that when no-fault was initially enacted, you were “forced” to buy top limits that would cover all of medical and hospital damages, and pay your sometimes pesky agent for all this wonderful coverage. But the pols with their noses to the wind thought better: why not let the insured (that’s you and me) choose a lesser amount and bounce the bills to Medicare or Medicaid? We have invited our own Jill Bont to tell us why you must be most careful in selecting your non-fault plan because of your exposure to pay medical and hospital bills. Jill is affiliated with Mitten Insurance. Yes, you may certainly bring your no-fault policy with you.

War (1):   “War is, at first, the hope that one will be better off; next, the expectation that the other fellow will be worse off; then, the satisfaction that he isn’t any better off; and, finally, the surprise at everyone’s being worse off.”  Karl Kraus
