The Breakfast Club of Early Risers takes pride in our members. We are excited that many of our brethren have interesting jobs, professions, and hobbies. But equally important, most of us have charities to assist others to make it through the day and their lifetime pursuits.
Our speaker is that great war horse, realtor par excellent, Harry H. Jones. Most of know of Harry’s contributions to the Masons and Shriners and how they help those in need. But there are times when Harry replaces his fez with a Boy Scout bandana. Small correction: these young people are boys and girls, and now collectively call themselves “Scouts.” It must have been fairly simple in the old days to support young men that were trying to better themselves by serving others, by earning merit badges, and by learning the essence of scouting. Regretfully, scouting by way of a few bad adults ended up somewhat as an embarrassment. The “Scouts” have returned, as Harry will proudly tell us, with a great product for boys and girls to grab unto, to learn scouting, and honor that which we revere in the United States of America. Bring a guest – possibly even a former scout, and walk away with a Meijer Gift Card.
