WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2021  –  7:15 a.m.

Versiti.  Not a word we learned in high school.  It represents the fluid that sustains our very being: blood.  What makes this subject that more in the public interest is there is a shortage of blood.  However, the epic situation of COVID, and the goings on in the middle east, has allowed us to ignore the blood situation.  We have invited Kristin Brenner to tell us what the problem is and how we can help to ease the crisis.  We have invited Kristin Brenner to tell us what is happening at Versiti. This basically is a “fusion of [blood] donors for scientific curiosity, and precision medicine that recognize the gifts of blood and life are precious.  We are passionate about improving the lives of patients and helping our healthcare partners thrive.”  No, blood will not be taken during our meeting, but it is something to think about down the road.
