You think you will buy that spiffy Georgian Colonial that just came on the market. The seller has listed it for only $450,000. You offer full price only to find that the seller’s agent has refused your offer and wants more money. This is not uncommon in today’s helter-skelter home-buying experience. We have invited long-time real estate broker, and former BCer, Edward (Jim) James for some thoughts on what we should be doing if we choose to enter the realty market fray. It is certainly not for the faint at heart. Remember the Gift Certificate that some lucky member will walk away with if they bring a guest and are the successful drawer.

As we slowly close the book on the latest pandemic, we are proud of our newly acquired lexicon, such as:

-Parenting. The ability to figure out why the PlayStation isn’t working with the Wi-Fi.

- Pan-demic. A potentially dangerous increase in the baking of bread in quarantined
  home.

-Quorumtine. The minimum number of family members necessary to decide what to
   watch on TV.

-Flattening the curve. Trying to fit into your jeans after three months of sweatpants.
