“Did ya hear about the teetotaler, the undertaker and the school marm that walk into this bar with hyacinths on their backs, well ……?” You may hear this again when LaughFest makes its 20th appearance in Grand Rapids to benefit Gilda’s Club. Twenty years of questionable humor and hijinks by some of the nation’s greatest comedians. Many of us recall the antics of Gilda Radner playing her virtuoso characters on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” But LaughFest finances Grief Support hosted at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and provides a place to share and learn with others who have experienced the death of a person, from any cause, in their life. Facilitated by licensed professionals, Gilda’s provides specialized groups for adults, children, and those who have experienced traumatic death. All grief support groups are offered free. We have invited Director Joann Roehm and Ms. Wendt Wigger to tell us how the LaughFest, in its 20th year, will operate, and maybe give us a sampling of their favorite jokes and humor for a great cause.

Invocator: Mr. Eric Nelson

Introducer: James Booth Burr, Jr., Esq.
